Blink-182 to play last U.S. show in Sept., return to studio this fall
With Blink-182 tickets available for only 8 more European shows and just one U.S. performance this year, they should have plenty of time to work on their highly anticipated upcoming album.
The new album will be the first new music the band has released since their self-titled album in 2003. So far, only a release date of sometime in 2011 has been confirmed, which means that the boys better be getting to work.
Several months ago, bassist Mark Hoppus confirmed on his blog that the band would be in the studio following the European shows:
“… When the European tour is finished, we head back and play ONE SHOW in Southern California. Then that is IT for live shows for the rest of 2010. Why? Because we’ll be in the studio recording the new Blink-182 album. Until it is finished,” he wrote.
The SoCal show Hoppus referred to is the Epicenter Festival at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif., on Sept. 26. The two-day event has a ton of major artists performing, including Eminem, KISS, Rise Against, 30 Seconds to Mars, Bush, Papa Roach, Bad Religion and more.
Don’t miss out on the Epicenter Festival 2010. get your Blink-182 tickets today!
